Roblox piano players
Turn the MIDI of a song you love into a sheet for the piano in your favourite experience, moved by octaves so every note is on the keyboard.
ToMIDI is a free MIDI to Roblox piano converter. Open a .mid file or one of four demo songs, tick the tracks you want, and get a letter sheet in the standard 61-key Virtual Piano layout that Roblox pianos copy: lowercase keys and numbers for white notes, Shift keys for black notes, chords in [brackets] and spacing that follows the rhythm. Auto moves the song by whole octaves to fit the keys, a check bar shows whether every note fits, and you can cut it down to the melody or smaller chords, play a preview, copy the sheet or save it as .txt. It runs in your browser, with nothing to install.

A Roblox piano is played with your computer keyboard, so a song for it is written in letters instead of notes. MIDI to Roblox piano conversion reads every note in a MIDI file and swaps it for the key that plays it: middle C is t, the D above it is y, and the C sharp between them is T, the same key with Shift held. Notes that start together go inside brackets, so a C major chord below middle C reads [80w], and the gaps between letters follow the time between notes. What comes out is a page of notes for Roblox piano that you read while you play or paste into a piano game. Want to hear the original first? Open it in the MIDI player.
Convert a MIDI FileA MIDI file can hold anything a studio can play, and a Roblox MIDI song is no different. The piano in the game has 61 keys, one sound and ten fingers on a QWERTY keyboard. These are the gaps a converter has to close:
Most Roblox piano sheets are typed out by hand, a letter at a time. This MIDI to Roblox piano converter writes the whole song from the file in a moment and tells you what it changed.
Open a MIDI file and the letter sheet appears at once. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no queue and no account in the way.
Letters follow the Virtual Piano layout that most Roblox piano games copy, so a sheet works anywhere that layout is used.
Auto moves the song by whole octaves, so it keeps its key, and the check bar tells you whether every note fits the 61 keys.
Keep only the melody, the melody and bass, or cap chords at 4, 3 or 2 notes, for a sheet your fingers can actually play.
The preview plays the sheet back as written, lighting each letter, so you hear the octave moves and every simplification before you practise.
Copy the sheet to your clipboard or download it as a .txt file with a how-to-read line on top. Free to use as often as you like.
From a .mid file to letters you can play, in four steps.
Drag a .mid, .midi or .kar file of up to 10 MB onto the MIDI to Roblox piano converter, or start with a demo such as Für Elise or Ode to Joy. A piano MIDI with a clear melody gives the cleanest sheet. No MIDI yet? Make one from a recording with MP3 to MIDI.
Every track with notes starts ticked, so both hands of a piano part come through together. Untick the parts you do not want. Drum tracks are listed but left out, because they have no pitches to write.
Auto moves the song by octaves into the 61-key range and the check bar shows whether every note fits. Set Notes to Melody or lower the Chord size if the sheet looks too busy.
Play the preview to check it, then press Copy Sheet or download the .txt, open your Roblox piano and play.
Everything a MIDI to virtual piano conversion needs, from the key map to the file you keep.
Every white key from C2 to C7 has its own key on your keyboard, running 1 to 0, then q to p, a to l and z to m. Black keys are the same keys with Shift: the C sharp above middle C is T, and the low ones become symbols such as ! and @. The converter writes each note with the key that plays it, so the Roblox piano notes on screen match what your fingers press, and the on-screen keyboard shows every letter: click a key to hear it. Want note names on a staff instead? MIDI to sheet music prints the score.
See the Key MapRoblox MIDI songs written for an 88-key piano often reach below C2 or above C7. Auto moves the whole song by octaves, choosing the move that puts the most notes on the 61 keys, so it stays in its key. Easiest picks any transposition that fits with the fewest Shift presses, which changes the key, and Manual moves it up to three octaves either way. Notes still outside are moved by an octave into range, or left out if you prefer, and the check bar says how many, with the share of Shift keys, the range used and the number of chords. To move a printed score to a new key instead, use transpose sheet music.
Check a SongNotes that start together are written inside brackets, lowest first, such as [tu] or [80w]. With Timing set to Rhythm, the spacing comes from the MIDI: quick notes run together, a space is one step, two or three spaces wait longer and | marks a rest. Even puts one space everywhere and Bar lines adds a | at every bar, with a new line every 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars. That is how Roblox virtual piano sheets show rhythm without a staff, and the MIDI to Roblox piano converter writes it the way players write their own sheets.
Read a SheetA full piano MIDI can be a lot for a computer keyboard. Set Notes to Melody to keep the highest note at each moment, the part you would hum, or to Melody + bass to add the lowest note under it. Chord size caps every chord at 4, 3 or 2 notes, or a single note, and keeps the bass and the top. The check bar counts the notes simplified away, so you know what you gave up.
Simplify a SheetPress play, or Space, to hear the sheet as written after transposing and simplifying, with a simple piano sound. Each letter turns orange as it sounds and its key lights on a 61-key keyboard, at any speed from 50 to 150%. Click any letter or key to hear it. Need to fix the notes themselves? Clean up the file in the MIDI editor, then convert it again.
Hear a PreviewCopy Sheet puts the whole sheet on your clipboard, ready to paste into a piano game, a notes app or a message. Download saves a plain .txt file with the title, tempo, transposition, range and a how-to-read line above the sheet, to keep, print or share. It is text for you to read and play, never a script that plays for you.
Get the SheetThe Ode to Joy demo, in the public domain: a melody track and a bass track in C major at 108 BPM. This is the sheet the MIDI to Roblox piano converter writes from it with the default settings.
What you are looking at
After MIDI to Roblox piano conversion, the first line reads [8u] u i o [5o] i u y: low C (8) under the E above middle C (u), then low G (5) under G (o). The second line, [6t] t [4y] u [5u] yy, shows the timing at work: two spaces hold the long note, and yy runs together because the second D comes quickly. All 86 notes already sit between C2 and C7, so Auto leaves the key alone. Set Notes to Melody and the brackets disappear: u u i o o i u y.
A letter sheet is a simple format. Some things in a Roblox piano MIDI file have no place in it, and it is better to know which before you start.
Some songs span more than five octaves. Moving by octaves fixes most of them; notes beyond C2 to C7 are folded in by an octave or left out, and the check bar says how many.
Letters cannot show velocity or the sustain pedal, so the accents and dynamics of a Roblox MIDI file are lost on the way. Play them by feel.
Spacing shows roughly when to play, not how long to hold. Learn the tune from the preview and let your ears fill in the rest.
Drums, bass and strings have no voice of their own on a Roblox piano. Pick the part that carries the song and leave the rest.

No. midi2lua is a name people search for when they want a MIDI file turned into Lua code that a script executor types into a Roblox piano for them. Executors are exploit software, and Roblox Community Standards do not allow exploits. This page writes a letter sheet that you play yourself, which is how the game is meant to be played. No. It makes no Roblox piano script, macro or auto-player, and it never presses keys for you. You get plain text: the letters, brackets and spacing of the song, to read while you play.
Here is how to play piano on Roblox with a sheet: sit at a piano in a game, then press the keys the sheet shows, left to right. Lowercase letters and numbers are white keys; capitals and symbols such as ! and @ mean hold Shift for a black key. Letters inside brackets go down together, and wider gaps mean wait a little longer.
Those are the black keys. On a Roblox piano a sharp or flat is the white key just below it with Shift held, so the C sharp above middle C is T instead of t, and the C sharp two octaves lower is ! because it sits on Shift+1.
Brackets hold notes you press at the same time, so [tu] is middle C and the E above it together. Spacing shows timing: letters close together are played quickly one after another, and a wider gap means a longer note or a rest before the next one.
Auto first moves the whole song by octaves to fit as many notes as possible. Any note still outside C2 to C7 is moved by an octave into range, or left out if you choose Leave out, and the check bar tells you how many. If too many notes move, try Melody, untick a track, or switch Transpose to Easiest, which may change the key.
For MIDI to Roblox piano conversion, solo piano files work best: a clear melody, a simple left hand and a range inside five octaves. Full band files convert too; untick the parts you do not need. Unsure what a file holds? Our guide to what a MIDI file is shows its tracks and notes.
Yes, in two steps. First turn the recording into notes with our free audio to MIDI converter, or song to piano for a piano arrangement, then drop the MIDI here. A clean piano recording gives the best result. For a video you own on YouTube, use YouTube to MIDI.
Yes. The sheet uses the standard 61-key Virtual Piano layout that virtualpiano.net uses and most Roblox piano games copy, so this MIDI to virtual piano conversion works in any of them. Pianos with a different layout, such as 88-key modes that use Ctrl, need a different sheet.
Not with this tool. Roblox pianos listen to your computer keyboard, and this page converts files rather than linking a keyboard to the game. Playing Roblox MIDI songs by hand from the sheet is the dependable way, and it needs nothing but your keyboard.
Yes. Convert the score into MIDI first with sheet music to MIDI or PDF to MIDI, then bring the file here. A MusicXML export from MuseScore works too after MusicXML to MIDI.
The best Roblox piano MIDI files are ones you make: convert a recording you own, export the MIDI from your own project, or use a public domain library for classical pieces. Most pop songs are protected by copyright, so keep sheets made from them for personal practice.
It is free, with no account and no limit on conversions. Files of up to 10 MB are read in your browser, so your MIDI never leaves your device.
Yes. The sheet is plain text, so you can change a letter or the spacing in any notes app after you copy or download it. To fix wrong notes at the source, edit the MIDI in the MIDI editor and convert it again.
